Composing their own brand of "Get Well Card" my "Trunchkins" as I refer to them, sort of Munchkins that carry Nightsticks, pose for what turned out to be a final farewell to their chief instructor, as  I would never return to  teach again.  Even though I didn't raise them myself, for two years, six hours a day, they were my kids dam it, for at least a while.  For those of you who never had the opportunity to teach Newfoundland & Labrador students you've missed a truly charming folk.  I miss them.

Before we go bouncing down memory lane there are some very special people I'd like you to meet.  Academy Canada is a growing Newfoundland Corporation moving into International Markets, but nowhere near the heartless, bottom line, mega maniacs we keep hearing about.  These people kept me on full salary for the entire length of my contract during not only one but two of my last strokes while at the same time having to hire and pay for my Law & Security Administration replacement instructor.  In fact each member of the board of directors came to visit me in the hospital a number of times.  During his first visit the company president asked me if there was anything I needed I told him, yes.  When was the last time you sent your President & CEO out to buy you two triple packs of Hanes underwear?

Still not taking the opportunity to get rid of an old egg, Academy Canada has invited me to serve as a Student Resources Volunteer on a as health permits with their Student Resource Center. They found me a fully furnished place to live closer to my new needs, and completely fill cupboards, fridge, pots, pans, knife drawer, everything you can think of including gifts and a Christmas tree when the time came.  Leading instigator for the pack was Mr. Doug Ormond  who just wouldn't let me give up.

I guess what I'm saying -- besides "Thank You", is that I could think of no other people I would trust more with the education of my children than these.  Please pay them an Internet visit.
