Hi Folks,                      Carl1.jpg (4356 bytes)

No, she was just another boat that I missed.  Her resting place is 300 or so nautical miles off our shores on the Newfoundland Trench.  That's probably the last time anyone ever tells a Newfoundland Marine Radio Operator to "Shut Up!"

Actually I had more to do with tanks and armoured cars back when I had hair, and some good times.   I'm what's left of Carl R. Young, and to keep out of trouble I've been working on this web site and trying to see if this old dog can handle learning a few new tricks.

Memories of the 60s have been in my dreams a lot lately.  You know, I wonder whatever happened to old what's-his-name kind of stuff.  That along with all the new and wonderful people I've been meeting lately make me kind of agree that these are some more good old days.

I'll be inviting you to meet some of these folk and take a few opportunities to thank a lot of them for helping this gypsy find a home.

So welcome to a bit of a click-a-round.  Don't mind the bumps and twists, Newfoundland trails are not the smoothest, but short of a donut shop they're the prettiest on this side of the planet.

"If I have to explain it, it isn't funny."
